5 reasons why I liked "Last Christmas"
1. It actually made sense. Within itself. More than less. Kinda. Right after watching it anyway. Sometimes. Almost.
2. It was funny. I like funny.
3. The fucking Doctor rode Santa's fucking sleigh around fucking Big Ben, which was FUCKING AWESOME!
4. No potato-headed lizard-lesbians, no daleks, no cybermen, almost no magical sonic-wand-tricks
5. The "Helman-Ziegler test" ... the term alone, made up or not, puts a tiny little trace of hard science in this wide and endless ocean of corny fiction
5 reasons (out of many) why I disliked "Last Chrismas"
1. No original ideas; Moffat keeps stealing from EVERY SCREENPLAY EVER WRITTEN: "Alien", "Inception", "Star Trek Generations", "The Thing", "Santa Claus: The Movie" and countless others, including his own previous Who-Scripts. "Homage" my hairy ass!
2. DREAM-PINK!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!
3. The unneeded torture of the "Easter"-Gag and other undead jokes from the past
4. The VERY bland performance of Nick Frost
5. People talk like it was the hottest shit ever.
Which is bullshit. It was ok. Moffat played it safe. The dream inside a dream inside another dream thing is old, but effective. It keeps you invested. But ... unless you haven't seen a lot of sci-fantasy stuff before, there was nothing surprising or unexpected about this special ... couldn't be; like I said, the concept has been done to death and back, every twist Moffat "came up" with was predictable, but at least not as insanley stupid as the ones in ... let's say ... "Death In Heaven" or "Kill The Moon".
HEY, WHO-CREW! Stop putting old-person-makeup on young actors' or, in this case, actresses' faces! It looks silly. It's not in your budget, you lack the skill to do it right, if it can be done right at all ... stop that! Stop it! NO MORE! Especially if it's not absolutely necessary for the plot. Pisses me off! Like teasing and not delivering! Fucking Clara lives to see another season. If one cannot think about interesting stories, just spread a rumour throughout the internet to spice up lazy, scruffy writing, am I right, Steven?! FUCK YOU!
The worst thing about series 8 and this year's christmas special ... critics love it. People love it. They call it the "strongest year of recent Doctor-Who-history". So Moffat will just go on stealing and ... well, not thinking. Because it's so much easier to be loved by millions for superficial crap that can be swallowed by anyone without even chewing than trying to think through every little fucking detail of one big, complicated storyline that a lot of viewers are not able or willing to comprehend ... 'cause it would require usage of their FUCKING BRAINS ... and receiving nothing but hatred in return.
SILENCE WILL FAIL! But Zombie-Cyber-Bukkake, !hell yeah!, stupidity always prevails!

The future is not yet written.
But it will be written ... most likely by Steven Moffat ... so ... can any good still come of it?
Hope dies last, as they say. Let's hope for hope that this very last death will be a rather quick and painless one.
